For decades Lenbrook and its family of brands NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers served the audio market as a provider of high performing electronics and speakers that were also reasonably priced.
More recently, a few years ago before the wireless whole-house audio market really exploded Lenbrook introduced its Bluesound brand of products, which provided the same value-minded choices to consumers.
Today for the benefit of dealers and their clients Lenbrook has evolved the functionality of its Bluesound line of products, through a new generation of hardware, and of course its new BluOS operating system.
The proprietary BluOS was the first wireless whole-house audio platform to support high-resolution audio, in addition to other more traditional streaming services and networked audio options.
One of the most aggressive steps the company has taken to ensure the user friendliness of its products is the integration of BluOS into a growing number of NAD products. This integration allows integrators to utilize both product lines to configure home theater and whole-house audio systems under a single unified platform.
Some of the newly announced products that include BluOS include the Masters Series M32 Direct Digital Amplifier. This $3,999 integrated amplifier is rated to produce 150 watts per channel, and it provides dealers with installation flexibility through its support of NAD’s Modular Design Construction or MDC, which is a card-based system that enables customized configurations to fit homeowners’ needs.
Through its BluOS capabilities, the amp is compatible with 24-bit/192kHz high res audio, and with the BluOS and its music management capabilities, the amp offers support for NAS drives, and streaming services and formats, including MQA, AAC, MP3, Bluetooth, Spotify, and TIDAL.
The M32 offers AES/EBU, coax, optical, USB A and USB B inputs, and even a phono input.
Other products within the Masters Series that feature BluOS is the new Masters Series M50.2 Digital Music Player. The new M50.2 is a state-of-the-art music player that integrates BluOS, along with CD ripping capabilities, 2TBs of active storage and, 2TBs of “cold automatic backup storage.
Bringing BluOS to traditional NAD products, the wireless whole-house audio ecosystem is also available in its affordably priced C 368 and C 388 integrated amplifiers. These combination DAC/amplifiers employ the company’s hybrid digital amplification platform, MDC and BluOS. These products range in price from $899 to $1,599.
Taking a closer look at the integration of BluOS into NAD and how seamless NAD and Bluesound products interact within a BluOS-based whole-house entertainment system is John Rein and Mark Terletzky, co-owners, members of A/V Therapy.
In this video, Rein and Terletzky explain how the setup, installation and diversity of the Bluesound and NAD product lines are fueling their company’s A/V sales.
