Homeowners can rest easy knowing the smart locks on their doors are becoming even more intelligent. Case in point, the new DB1 Pro from Alfred International, which the company will highlight at next week’s ISC West 2025 (booth 25136) in Las Vegas.

Alfred says its most advanced smart deadbolt combines advanced security features with flexibility. The DB1 Pro targets both residential and rental property markets.

“The DB1 Pro represents our commitment to developing smart access solutions that evolve with our customers’ needs,” says Brad Cook, head of Product Integration at Alfred International.

“We’ve packed the most valuable features into this product specifically for the professional market with focused, refined and flexible options.”

The DB1 Pro offers three secure entry methods, including keys, pin codes, or mobile app, while connecting seamlessly with modern smart home ecosystems, the company notes.

With capacity for up to 250 programmable PIN codes and unlimited shareable Bluetooth keys, the versatile DB1 Pro enables property managers and homeowners to assign unique credentials to users, yielding detailed activity tracking and enhanced security oversight.

“Our goal was to create a feature-rich product directly aimed at our broad commercial customer market,” Cook says.

“Whether you’re a property manager overseeing multiple units or a security professional looking for enterprise-grade solutions, the DB1 Pro offers the security, flexibility, and connectivity options required for modern commercial applications.”

Key Features of the Alfred DB1 Pro

According to Alfred, here are other important attributes to the new smart lock:

  • Enterprise-Grade Security – Features 128-bit encryption, hardened steel roller protection, and customizable auto-relock timers with settings ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
  • Multi-Family Configuration Options – Includes a disable-able reset button and Bluetooth deactivation capability when connected to Z-Wave systems, ideal for rental property applications.
  • Expandable Connectivity – Optional Wi-Fi and Z-Wave 800 Series Long Range add-ons enable remote access, real-time activity alerts, and compatibility with a range of smart home ecosystems.
  • Simple Installation – Requires only a Phillips screwdriver on pre-prepped doors, with auto-handing capability and voice prompts in three languages (English, French, and Spanish).
  • Fire-Rated Performance – UL10C 20-Minute Fire Rated, with 90-Minute Fire Rating available upon request.

Alfred suggests its DB1 connectivity architecture allows smart home and security pros to offer tiered service packages, creating natural upgrade paths and recurring revenue opportunities for integrators serving both residential and commercial markets.

Additionally, the company notes that the DB1 Pro can be paired with an Alfred Interconnect Kit to meet code requirements and provide single-motion egress functionality, making it suitable multi-unit housing and rental properties where safety and compliance are critical.
