With in-ear monitors (IEMs) migrating from the world of professional sound to the consumer market, Ultimate Ears is offering the public an affordable way to customize their IEMs with its Switch Interchangeable Faceplate System.
Ultimate Ears (UE) says its Interchangeable Faceplate System works with its UE Pro and UE CSX products. Some of these models include the UE 5, UE 6, UE 7, and UE 11. Other compatible models include the UE Reference Remastered, the UE 18+ and the UE Live.
The company explains that each model offers a specific sonic signature and through the use of the Switch Interchangeable Faceplate System, users can tailor the appearance of their IEMs to their preference at any time.
UE points out the system works through a twist-lock mechanism that makes removing and adding new faceplates easy.
The interchangeable faceplates are available in a choice of wood, carbon fiber, and mother-of-pearl finishes, and the company also provides the option of halos or custom artwork.
In addition, the Switch Interchangeable Faceplates are available in packages of three pairs to provide users multiple style choices.
