M33 Masters BluOS-enabled Amplifier DAC

The Canadian AV company NAD has announced that its new M33 Masters BluOS-enabled Amplifier DAC is now available.

NAD says that its new M33 is capable of serving as the heart of a reference whole-house audio system, or it can be used as a standalone, high-performance streaming solution.

According to the company the BluOS-enabled amplifier DAC (digital-to-analog converter) employs NAD’s HybridDigital Purifi Eigentakt Amplifier Technology, along with 32-bit/384kHz ESS Sabre DAC chips, and NAD’s Modular Design Construction (MDC) platform. The inclusion of the MDC platform allows integrators to minimize the problem of obsolescence by incorporating MDC card slots to update the product when appropriate.

Some of the M33’s other features include Dirac room equalization technologies, HDMI eARC, BluOS, which supports the streaming of services such as TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz others; it provides the ability to decode MQA content stored locally or streamed, and it provides subwoofer out, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth.

In addition, the Streaming Amplifier DAC provides five digital inputs and three analog inputs that include a moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) phono input.

The M33 also supports smart home integration, headphone listening, and Roon compatibility.
