Adding some easy-to-install solutions to its product line, Leviton has announced its Decora Edge series of wiring solutions.
Leviton explains that its latest product line gives integrators a choice of solutions that install safely and easily in home environments when compared to traditional switches and outlets. According to the company, when using Decora Edge products, all integrators need to do is insert stripped 14- or 12-AWG electrical wire into the products’ termination ports and then close a lever that clicks into place. Once the lever clicks the connection is terminated and complete.
The N.Y.-based, global company emphasizes the new Decora Edge products incorporate a proprietary color-coded lever termination where the stripped end of a wire inserts into the device and an internal lever clamps onto the terminated wire to eliminate the need for screws to secure the wiring.
Some of the products within the product line include a single-pole switch, a three-way switch, and a 15A tamper-resistant duplex outlet.
Leviton adds that its newly announced Decora Edge product line can be used by integrators for new construction and retrofit installations.
