KRK Systems, a member of the Gibson family of brands, has introduced its Classic 5 Professional Bi-amp Studio monitors.
Using design elements from the company’s ROKIT product lines, the Classic 5 nearfield monitor can be used for professional and enthusiast music production, and for other applications that require powered speakers.
The Classic 5 powered loudspeaker incorporates a Class A/B bi-amp amplification configuration that employs automatic limiting within a low-resonance enclosure. The speaker’s bi-amplification system powers a 5-inch glass-Aramid composite woofer and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter that delivers frequencies up to 35kHz.
KRK Systems also points out the speaker comes preinstalled with high-density foam pads on its underside to help decouple the speaker from surfaces to increase clarity and frequency response.
In addition, the powered nearfield monitor also comes with a choice of XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) inputs.
