L82 Classic Loudspeaker

Following the successful release of the L100 loudspeaker that was launched in 2018, the new JBL L82 Classic offers homeowners a retro-looking, small-footprint speaker.

JBL explains the L82 Classic loudspeaker is based on the company’s original 4310 Pro Studio Monitor, which originally hit the market back in 1970.

The new L82 incorporates a two-way design that utilizes a 1-inch Titanium dome tweeter mounted within an acoustic-lens waveguide, along with an 8-inch woofer. The speaker’s front panel features a high frequency attenuator to tailor the speaker’s high frequencies to help the speaker integrate into a range of room environments, and JBL points out the speaker’s acoustic-suspension design employs its front-firing Slipstream port.

Externally, the speaker features a retro JBL design that includes a white-poly cone woofer, as well as a Quadrex foam grille that is available in a choice of black, orange or blue.

In addition, JBL supports the L82 Classic speaker with its optional JS-80 floor stands.

MSRP for the L82 Classic loudspeaker is $2,500 per pair. The MSRP for the JS-80 floor stands is $250 per pair. Additional grille colors are available for $199 pair pair.
