Estelon is a relatively new audio company that was formed in 2010 in Estonia. Distributed in the U.S. by Elite Marketing Dynamics, the company just announced Extreme Mk II loudspeakers.
The European company says the new speaker incorporates everything that chief engineer and company co-founder Alfred Vassikov has learned in his 35 year career. Providing an overview of the Extreme Mk II loudspeaker, Estelon says the speaker utilizes a two-module design that is more than six feet tall to allow integrators to adjust the height of the upper module, as well as the depth of the tweeter to help adapt the speaker to integrate into a range of home spaces.
The Extreme Mk II is available in a choice of two tone finishes such as Midnight Opera, Bronze Royale, Lunar Eclipse and Nordic Emerald, and the speaker’s enclosure is made of Estelon’s proprietary marble-based composite material.
Elite Marketing Dynamics and Estelon note the new flagship speaker includes a 7-inch ceramic-midrange driver with CELL technology from Accuton, as well as a 1-inch diamond-membrane Accuton tweeter, which the company claims can play up to 60kHz with no distortion in the human hearing range.
Other design elements incorporated into the new speaker include an upgraded crossover network with new inductors, capacitors and resistors that employ Estelon’s own direct connection techniques, and Kubala-Sosna pure-copper cabling.
Estelon and Elite Marketing Dynamics adds that integrators will also benefit from the Extreme Mk II loudspeakers’ new custom-designed direct-coupling connectors that are designed to efficiently transmit signals from connected amplification.
