Luxman M-10X Power Amplifier

Replacing the company’s M-900u amplifier, Luxman has announced the release of its new M-10X power amplifier.

The company says that its latest amplifier joins its D-10X digital player as its new flagship models that help to mark its 100th anniversary.

Luxman explains the M-10X power amplifier employs its Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System (LIFES1.0) negative feedback circuit design, as well as specially selected Field Effect Transistors (FET) with high transconductance, and a highly regulated constant voltage circuit that is said to resist load fluctuations.

Other performance features built into the M-10X power amplifier include an improved current mirror circuit that aids the amp’s stability in a variety of thermal conditions; large heat sink stacks, a large power transformer, large 80,000 uF filter capacitors, and a quadruple parallel push-pull output stage with 16 transistors per channel.

Through these circuit designs and internal components, Luxman states the amplifier is capable of producing 150 watts into 8 ohms, and an instantaneous 1,200 watts into 1 ohm. Luxman notes the M-10X power amplifier is also capable of producing 2,400 watts into 2 ohms when operating in its BTL (balanced transformer-less) monaural mode.

Luxman adds the amp also features its classic industrial design that is highlighted by its blasted white aluminum finish and needle-type analog level meters.
