The latest headset from the communications and headphone manufacturer Jabra, is the company’s new Engage 55 Portable Professional Headset.
Jabra says that its new headset is designed to support a range of communications needs for work staff, and the new headset features the latest DECT security technologies to protect sensitive conversations. Through its DECT technologies, the Engage 55 Portable Headset provides 256-bit encryption and noise-cancelling technologies that not only protect conversations; it also makes sure those conversations are easily intelligible.
According to Jabra, its newest headset can be used in a variety of work environments, including work from home (WFH) and hybrid work places, and Jabra emphasizes the average unified communications (UC) participant spends more time on calls than ever before. Underscoring its point, Jabra says that based on research conducted in 2020 and 2021, Zoom minutes increased by 3,300% and there was a 645% increase in Microsoft Teams calls during the same period.
Helping to make these increased UC activities a more palatable experience, the Engage 55 incorporates the company’s SafeTone 2.0 that provides speech normalization that adjusts the volume levels of calls based on users’ preferences. The headset also includes the company’s intelligent acoustic shock protection that is said to reduce potentially harmful noise levels without affecting sound quality.
Other technologies built into the headset include Jabra’s PeakStop at 105dB, which is a technology that proactively removes sudden loud noises, and BalancedVoice, which processes incoming sounds so it is clearer without raising volume levels.
In addition, the Engage 55 headset also provides users a wireless range as far as 490 feet, and the product comes with a Link 400 DECT USB dongle.
