Crestron Electronics VC-4 Virtual Control

Introduced to help IT pros better manage meeting room spaces, Crestron has introduced its new VC-4 Virtual Control.

The N.J.-based manufacturer says that is new software solution complements its hardware products by offering a more scalable alternative with the same functionality. Crestron states the VC-4 Virtual Control is capable of supporting up to 500 spaces on a single server, and it enables the mass deployment of custom or standard configurations with the press of a button.

Crestron explains that with WFH and hybrid work schedules a part of today’s world the need for additional collaboration spaces has required IT teams to configure more rooms than ever before. The VC-4 Virtual Control allows IT professionals to design and configure a room’s unified communications (UC), AV and control solutions. IT staff members can then save those configurations and automate those settings to save labor costs.

According to Crestron, its newest workplace solution utilizes standard programming languages such as C# for IT and SIMPL for AV professionals.

Crestron emphasizes the implementation of SIMPL provides a standards-based approach that is reliable and scalable, and it works seamlessly with popular Crestron ecosystems that include Flex Digital Workplace Technology and DigitalMedia Content Distribution to provide users with integrated experiences.

Additionally, Crestron says that through the solution’s standards-based approach, IT teams can leverage existing IT infrastructures for redundancy and fault tolerances.
