Sound Concepts, already the largest custom integration company in Arkansas, has acquired Bravas Little Rock. Terms were not disclosed.
Led by president Ryan Heringer, Sound Concepts is the No. 28 company in the CE Pro 100 with revenues in 2020 of nearly $8.8 million. The company has been in business for 18 years and has more than 30 employees. Last year, Sound Concepts performed more than 300 custom installations. The company specializes in large-scale custom installation projects, several of which have won awards in the past.
Bravas LLC, the No. 7 company in the CE Pro 100 with revenues of $65.2 million, was formed in 2019 as a private equity-backed entity that merged 15 elite integrators from all across the U.S. One of the original members is Audio Dimensions, an established firm led by industry veteran Russell Kim. Its headquarters location is in Oklahoma City forming Bravas Oklahoma City, but also had operations in Little Rock, Ark., thus forming the Bravas Little Rock division.
Bravas was created with a $75 million backing by Presidio Investors, after the integrators involved spent years under the tutelage of Paul Starkey and Steve Firszt, the industry veterans who founded VITAL, a business consulting firm for integrators VITAL, which was recently acquired by industry leaders Matt Bernath and Jeremy Burkhardt, established the Bravas Group Cooperative for high-revenue dealers, and key to its coaching service was helping integrators create operational efficiencies and develop more accurate financial insights into their businesses through standardized metrics and analytics.
The sale of the Little Rock division represents the first spinoff by Bravas, which has been solely in a growth mode since its formation. Since 2019, Bravas has expanded to add dealers in Denver, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Dallas/Fort Worth.
In announcing the acquisition, Sound Concepts noted to customers, “So what are the immediate changes? Not much! The team that you’ve grown to know and love will stay in place. Sound Concepts has taken over all jobs in progress and you will continue to receive service on past and present installs from our dedicated service team.”
“We’re really excited to get to know you and have the opportunity to work with you,” notes the Sound Concepts outreach.
Sound Concepts has an appointment-only showroom in North Little Rock.
