Designers and homeowners continue to request low-profile technology so as not to take away from its aesthetics. Sonance has always provided architectural speaker products to fit that bill, and now dealers have more options to appeal to clients with the introduction of its Visual Experience Thin-Line Series.
The new Thin-Line models expand Sonance’s acclaimed VX speaker lineup with a slimmer profile designed for challenging installations, according to the company.
The series delivers room-filling sound from a profile that can fit into areas as narrow as 2.5-inch metal framing, Sonance says. That makes it ideal for concrete construction, multidwelling units (MDUs), and high-rise applications where space is at a premium, the company adds.
“With the Visual Experience Thin-Line Series, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in architectural audio,” says Skylar Gray, director of Product Management at Sonance.
“By reducing depth by an additional 3mm versus our previous generation of Thin-Line speakers while maintaining the acoustic excellence our customers expect, we’ve created a solution that meets the demands of modern construction without compromising on sound quality.”
Visual Experience Thin-Line Series Falls Features Popular Sonance Tech
Sonance notes that the Thin-Line Series incorporates the same advanced technology as the standard Visual Experience Series:
- VX Transducer Technology delivers higher performance and fidelity
- VX Waveguides ensure consistent tonality and improved coverage throughout the space
- VX Grilles offer both micro trim and trimless options in Sonance Brilliant White
Available in both in-ceiling and in-wall configurations in select performance levels, the Thin-Line Series incorporates an option for Single Stereo Technology, making it a versatile speaker for any architectural audio project, the company asserts.
As far as installation goes, Sonance says the integrator-friendly lineup maintains the traditional one-stage process used in the VX Series.
The Sonance VX Thin-Line Series is available now through authorized Sonance dealers and distributors. The company recently showed its solutions portfolio at Integrated Systems Europe 2025 in Barcelona in February.
