Fulfilling the public's appetite for streaming audio, Russound will demonstrate its MBX family of streaming products at ISE 2018. Russound CEO Charlie Porritt says the company is trying a new tactic in how it shows its products.
“From ISE's first show in Switzerland 14 years ago, Russound has been at everyone of the expos,” notes Porritt. “This year we are evolving our tradeshow strategy to focus more on our partners, giving them an opportunity to display their products alongside ours at the Russound stand on the main floor, in addition to select other locations around the show.”
Exhibiting in stand number 1-M60 in the main hall with Key Digital, Russound will emphasize its MBX-PRE preamplifier and MBX-AMP amplifier, which it says are the first products in the MBX family of solutions.

Russound MBX Products Provide Turnkey Streaming Entertainment
The soon-to-be-available MBX-AMP amplifier is engineered to serve as the “cornerstone” of a decentralized audio system that includes streaming options.
Russound specifies the MBX-AMP is a 50-watt per channel zone amplifier. The amp allows sharing of any multiroom audio speakers with a local TV, and it incorporates Wi-Fi and Ethernet network options.
Porritt says Russound developed the MBX-AMP after listening to its global dealer base.
“The MBX-AMP development in particular was heavily influenced by feedback from our international partners,” he admits.
The MBX-PRE preamplifier is similar to the MBX-AMP minus the amplification section. The MBX PRE works with any brand of amplifier or A/V receiver, and Russound points out that both the MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE support high-resolution audio, Bluetooth and Google Chromecast, along with streaming services that include the newly added TIDAL and Deezer services.
Other features the MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE offer include built-in Apple AirPlay, and voice control capabilities via the Amazon Alexa platform.
In addition to its booth actitivies with Key Digital, Russound will also support its business partners' respective exhibits, including NEAR in stand 7-S229 and Wall-Smart in Stand 2-E90.
“By sharing space with partners and expanding our presence to three halls, Russound will be more visible while giving us the time and resources to focus our attention on our customers, both on and off the floor,” adds Porritt.
