Calling it a new era for the brand, Marantz has announced its MODEL 30 series Integrated Amplifier and SACD 30n Network Audio Streamer & SACD Player products.

Marantz says the products reinforce the company’s founder Saul Marantz’s original goals of bringing listeners as close as possible to their favorite music.

“Our main goal in updating Marantz was to effectively capture the timelessness, musicality and passion the brand has brought to the world for nearly 70 years,” says Joel Sietsema, president Classé and Marantz.

“This is why we dove into the brand’s history first to design MODEL 30 and SACD 30n. We knew these new products and their successors had to continue refining that classic Marantz sound, but also deliver fresh new aesthetics and build quality contemporary enthusiasts could love. The result is a familiar, yet entirely new Marantz ID and an exciting listening experience that delivers on the Marantz promise of the most musical sound.”

Manufactured in Japan, the new MODEL 30 components are the first Marantz products to utilize the company’s new, “industrial design language.” Marantz summarizes this design approach as a celebration and modernizing of the looks of its products from the 1960s and 1970s.

Marantz MODEL 30 Integrated Amplifier

Featuring an all-analog design, the MODEL 30 Integrated Amplifier incorporates a two-stage discrete design with independent power supplies for the preamplifier and amplifier sections.

The integrated amp offers music lovers the ability to use either a moving coil (MC) or moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge through the integrated amp’s built-in MC/MM phono stage. This phono stage is designed to reduce distortion through the use of a two-stage design to make the vinyl listening experience as noise free as possible.

Marantz points out the integrated amp also employs its Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAMs) discrete circuit design boards.

SACD 30n Network Audio Streamer & SACD Player

Providing a modern source component for today’s audio systems, the SACD 30n Network Audio Streamer & SACD Player uses the company’s proprietary SACDM-3L transport mechanism.

Marantz says this mechanism is designed to maximize the playback of CDs and SACDs.

The MODEL 30 series source component also incorporates the HEOS wireless whole-house audio streaming platform. The player can stream FLAC files ranging from 44.1kHz to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as DSD2.8MHz and DSD 5.6MHz SACD digital files.

Other features built into the SACD 30n Network Audio Streamer & SACD Player include Marantz’s Music Mastering MMM-Stream Converter and MMM-Conversion stage for optimized digital audio conversion.

In addition, the streaming player provides users with a dedicated amplifier that employs the company’s HDAM-SA2 circuitry that delivers a high signal-to-noise ratio to enable it to effectively drive high-impedance headphones.

Both products will be available in September 2020 at respective MSRPs of $2,500 each.
