Lyngdorf Audio Enters Surround Sound Market with MP-50 Processor

Danish audio company Lyngdorf launches its first home theater product, the MP-50 Surround Sound Processor, at ISE 2017.

Lyngdorf Audio is a relatively new manufacturer focusing on stereo consumer audio applications. Expanding its product line beyond its two-channel products, the company has announced its new MP-50 Surround Sound Processor at ISE 2017 in Amsterdam. 

Citing a need for high-performance solutions that aren't extravagantly priced, Lyngdorf Audio says the MP-50 Surround Sound Processor produces a fun listening experience while maintaining its core design values. 

“We see a need in the market for produts which can offer the ultimate experience without the ultimate pricetag,” says Flemming Smith, sales director, Lyngdorf Audio. “The MP-50 delivers the utmost in performance, while staying true to the founding mission of Lyngdorf Audio—to develop bold ideas that go beyond the ordinary through technology with purpose.”

The Danish company says that electronics professionals can utilize the home theater processor for everything from multipurpose media rooms, to large dedicated home theater rooms. 

The MP-50 Surround Sound Processor incorporates its RoomPerfect room equalization (EQ), bass management and level alignment processing suite, as well as a custom voice tool, and streaming media options. 

Employing a minimalist industrial design, the MP-50 also offers full compatibility with Ultra HD 4K, 3D and HDCP 2.2 content. The home theater processor's audio modes include the choice of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D, and elaborating on its custom voicing options, Lyngdorf Audio says the audio tool allows for as many as 32 EQ curves to meet any client preferences. 

In addition,processor features 16 balanced XLR outputs, and an optional DCI-compliant 16-channel digital AES/EBU input to facilitate the integration of the unit with digital cinema servers. 

The MP-50 Surround Sound Processor will retail at $9,999 when it ships in the spring.
