Leviton announces Apple Watch support for its Snap-Link Mobile app for home automation and audio/video control. The new app enables control of Leviton’s Omni (formerly HAI) security and smart-home systems either remotely or locally without monthly fees or device licenses.

Users can download the app via the Apple App Store to their compatible iOS devices including iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone, and now extend the app to their Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch extension utilizes watchOS 2 and allows for control over the most commonly accessed connected devices such as lighting loads, the Leviton Omni security system, thermostats, surveillance cameras and more.

“Activities” such as “Movie Time” can be triggered to operate a wide variety of devices with the press of a button.

Existing users of Snap-Link Mobile for iOS can update their app for free to add support for Apple Watch.

“With the ever-growing popularity of the Apple Watch and the eruption of home automation, it is electrifying to attach Leviton device control to your smart wristwatch,” says Aaron Ard, mobile app innovation leader for the Leviton Energy Management, Controls and Automation business unit. “With iOS device compatibility using watchOS2, Leviton controlled home and business owners now have comprehensive and affordable property management in seconds.”

In addition to Apple Watch support, Leviton has launched Snap-Link Mobile for Windows 10 devices, including smartphones, tablets, desktops and laptops.

Users can download the app ($19.99) via the Windows Store on a Windows 10 device and use it on as many connected Windows 10 devices as they wish, for local and remote control with no monthly fees.
