Klipsch Offers Dealers ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Promotional Materials and Contest

Klipsch is helping dealers to refresh their home theater demonstrations through a package that focuses on the Freddie Mercury biographic movie Bohemian Rhapsody.

To help celebrate the digital release of Bohemian RhapsodyKlipsch has announced a new promotional opportunity for its audio/video retail partners.

Released by Twentieth Century Fox, Bohemian Rhapsody is a 2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen. It follows singer Freddie Mercury's life from first joining the band in 1970 to their pivotal Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in 1985. The movie is rated PG-13.

The company is providing official Klipsch/Bohemian Rhapsody in-store and online point of purchase materials. This includes a copy of the movie trailer on Blu-ray and USB for in-store demonstrations, in-store signage, and digital and social media assets to showcase how Klipsch speakers are capable of delivering the power, detail, and emotion of the movie's cinematic experience in the home. 

Additionally, a “Klipsch Bohemian Rhapsody Sweepstakes” will be held from Feb. 1 to  March 31, 2019, in the United States. Entrants have the chance to win a prize package that includes a Klipsch Reference 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos home theater speaker system, a copy of Bohemian Rhapsody on Blu-ray, a Bohemian Rhapsody luggage tag, cap, tee shirt, USB, and gold backpack.

Klipsch says the contest is valued at a U.S. MSRP of $4,097.  

Bohemian Rhapsody Available on a Choice of Digital Formats

Bohemian Rhapsody is now available digitally and it will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on Feb. 12.

The 4K Ultra HD option features the immersive object-based Dolby Atmos surround-sound format, which makes sound disperse from all directions, including overhead, to fill a home theater with a more realistic aural experience.

Bohemian Rhapsody was a massive box office success, becoming the eighth-highest-grossing film of 2018 worldwide and the highest-grossing music biographical film of all time.

The film has garnered praise with five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury, and winning two Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actor in a motion picture (Drama).

The movie is named after the band's iconic classic rock song Bohemian Rhapsody, which was released on the 1975 album A Night at the Opera

Queen also had a number of other hit records and songs. Other famous songs from the band include Another One Bites the Dust, Killer Queen, You're my Best Friend, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Under Pressure, which the band collaborated with David Bowie to produce. 

In addition, the band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2001 for its body of work.
