EPV Screens introduces its AcousticPro 4K eFinity Series screen, which as the name suggests, provides integrators with an acoustically transparent, 4K-compatible screen at an affordable price starting at $1,995.

David Rodgers, marketing manager, EPV Screens, says the company's latest screen product is designed to meet a range of applications for integrators without sacrificing performance.

“In-wall speakers represent a sizable percentage of installations that many CI guys and gals perform,” he notes. “This product had to cover all the bases. It handles 4K UltraHD content, while allowing sound performance with minimal attenuation, and it all comes in the latest 'edge-free' design that's in greater demand than standard frame screens.”

Available in sizes ranging from 100 inches to 150 inches, the product carries a starting price of $1,995 and comes in a 16:9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio.

EPV's 'EDGE FREE' Design

The AcousticPro 4K eFinity features a modern industrial design, including its “EDGE FREE” format that incorporates an internal frame with a wraparound concept to the screen material to maximize its size.

The frame of the screen breaks down into six segments to reduce packaging/shipping costs and to make it easier for integrators to handle on job sites.

The AcousticPro 4K eFinity employs a series of spring hooks and grommets to help ensure uniform tension across the entire screen surface, which also expedites set up times.

According to the company, the screen material is specifically engineered for use with architectural speakers and uses a transparent-weave construction and a black backing cloth to help eliminate image artifacts.

The screen is designed to display 4K content while minimizing audio attenuation. EPV rates the audio attenuation of the screen at -3.06 at 8kHz-20kHz, and its ability to handle wide seating arrangements through its diffusion of 180 degrees.
