The new U.K.-based software company Cinema Designer is introducing its first product, the Cinema Design Tool, at ISE 2016

Cinema Designer says the online design tool has been developed to allow custom electronics professionals to create home theater designs, support documents and aesthetic renderings within minutes.

According to the British company, until the creation of the Cinema Design Tool the design of home theaters had been a labor-intensive process, and now with new surround sound formats coming into the market such as Dolby Atmos, Auro and DTS:X, the design process is even more difficult.

The software features brands such as Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), Barco, Triad, Classe Audio, Procella Audio and Screen Research in a database that is continually growing, and it adds the tool accurately specifies equipment based on proper design principles and performance data. With the new software tool users can complete full designs, including 3D CAD placement drawings, specification data, material bills and detailed photo renderings quickly and accurately.

Cinema Designer explains that all users need to do is enter a few basic details such as room dimensions and screen size and the software will calculate an arithmetrical design within minutes. The software also generates design documents within a minute, and the company adds the software can also be used for combined cinema and media room installations.

The Cinema Design Tool will be introduced at ISE 2016 in Amsterdam, and it become available to installers on Feb. 17.
