Camila Ballario of Leon Speakers is an Argentine-born American singer, stand-up comic, and one of the most ambitious professionals in their entire custom installation industry.
A trained musician whose voice has been compared to artists such as Patty Griffin, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile and Norah Jones, Ballario received her bachelor of music in vocal performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater and Dance. Back in 2013, she notes it was her music that brought her to Leon Speakers and the integrator market.
Leon Speakers neighbors the University of Michigan in the city of Ann Arbor, and while she was recording her first album she visited the custom loudspeaker manufacturer to play music at the company’s on-site music venue, the Leon Loft.
Ballario says the rest is history, joining the company shortly after her performance.
Ballario Maintains a Hectic Schedule
Since joining Leon Speakers in 2013, Ballario has served the audio company in many roles as a member of its sales team.
During her time with Leon Speakers, she has cultivated strong relationships within the consumer electronics industry that range from manufacturers and vendor partners to a broad spectrum of customers that serve the industry in a variety of ways.
Ballario’s primary focus is on increasing the visibility of Leon’s deep musical culture, unique products, and its ability to create unique “one-off” custom solutions.
As senior sales development manager, Ballario represents Leon Speakers at major industry events, and she travels year-round to visit customers across the U.S. to serve as a primary product training specialist.
When Ballario is not traveling for Leon Speakers or performing her music or comedy, she is pursuing her MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and she says she looks forward to graduating in 2021.

Despite the pace of her schedule, Ballario emphasizes that she is passionate about balancing her role at Leon Speakers with her love for entertainment.
Arts and entertainment lovers can regularly find her on stage performing music or stand-up comedy throughout the Midwest.
In 2012 she collaborated with producer and songwriter Mark Hauptschein, co-producer/multi-instrumentalist Rich Rankin, and several studio musicians based in cities from Chicago to Nashville to release her debut album “Another Good Mistake” in 2015.
Describing her album, Ballario explains that “Another Good Mistake” brings a new feel to modern music with influences that span musical genres such as pop, folk, rock, jazz, and country music.
Currently, Ballario is working on releasing an EP with bandmate and fellow Leon employee, Dan Kaplan, who is the brother of CE Pro-All Star bandmate Ethan Kaplan.
Ballario adds that she and Dan have been working on writing and recording their EP for two years and look forward to releasing the first song from the mini record in 2020.
