Leveraging his decades of audio and music experience, Rikki Farr, chairman and chief creative officer of Riva Audio and his engineering team have introduced the company's new $199 Concert Smart Speaker.
Farr's experience includes concert promotions and engineering duties for legendary bands such as Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Tom Petty and Pink Floyd, among others, and along with the company's president and chief engineer Don North, the duo developed Riva Audio's latest product to complement today's smart homes.
“What if I told you that our Voice Series speaker has been designed with the feature set and flexibility to support future updates to Amazon Alexa,” says Farr.
“All of this from a single-source speaker that gives you a full and spacious sound unrivaled by any other.”
Concert Smart Speaker Delivers Best of Both Worlds
Riva Audio says its speaker is designed to avoid obsolescence thanks to the speaker employing an open architecture and a high level of onboard memory used to support future updates, including Amazon Alexa support.
The speaker benefits from the inclusion of Amazon Alexa by using the technology as an interface solution within a voice-enabled control system, helping the speaker support voice commands that range from “turn on the living room lights,” to “Alexa play Ozzy Osbourne in the kitchen.”

The Concert Smart Speaker emphasizes quality by incorporating Riva Audio's Trillium technologies, which features three channels of amplification that power custom drivers to help the speaker produce a wide stereo field from a single enclosure.
“Our dream in developing this Voice Series is that with a simple voice command, you can experience crystal clear music with all its nuance in pure stereophonic sound, anywhere in your home,” states North.
The smart speaker can also be used throughout a home to provide wireless whole-house audio with control options via Riva Audio's companion smart device app, which is available on the Apple iOS and Android platforms.
