Providing increased coverage to small and medium-sized business (SMB) environments, as well as large residences, the new $189 EnGenius EWS357AP wireless access point brings enterprise technologies to more applications.
The Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company's latest wireless access point (WAP) is a 2×2 solution that incorporates Qualcomm's new EWS357 chipset that includes 11ax technologies to expand network coverage.

EnGenius Access Point Provides Enterprise-Grade Functionality
According to EnGenius, the EWS357AP is the first 2×2 11ax access point in the SMB market that leverages 11ax technologies to deliver more efficient channel use and reduced latency between access points and client devices.
Other key features include:
- Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) that increases channel efficiency
- Uplink and download link of MU-MIMO to ensure optimal signal and reliability
- BSS coloring to differentiate between adjacent service sets
- Target wake time for power saving capabilities with scheduled wake-up times
The low-profile access point also features enterprise options such as mass configuration of access points so integrators can easily futureproof network installations.
