LG Returns to RE+ 2023, Citing Heightened Demand for Energy Storage Systems

The company invites installers interested in learning more about energy storage systems to stop by its booth while at the show.

Last year, LG Electronics launched the residential Home 8 Energy Storage System (ESS) at RE+ 2022. Since then, the company reports it has only seen the demand for backup energy storage grow exponentially, which is relatively unsurprising given the increase weather-related outages alongside rising energy costs and a push in many parts of the US for full electrification of the home.

Earlier this year, LG made a separate announcement stating it will be expanding its portfolio of energy storage and energy management products, citing similar reasons. CE Pro has also identified the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) as being another driver for greater interest in energy storage systems and energy management within the home.

It’s under the aforementioned circumstances that LG will be returning to RE+ 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada with the intent on assisting installers looking to break into the energy market in the home.

Originally started by the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), two leading solar energy organizations within the US, RE+ (formerly SPI) is the nation’s premier clean energy conference and serves as an entry point and means of further educating professionals about advancements in the clean energy market.

Under the booth theme “Hello, my name is…,” LG Electronics states it will be adopting a far more personal approach to help attendees to RE+ 2023 gain a better understanding of its residential and commercial energy storage solutions.

Installers visiting the LG Electronics ESS booth (#4717 in the Sands Expo Hall) will be able to enroll in the LG Pro Program, which provides access to tools to connect with home and business owners, including co-branded sales materials, images, videos and more.

Installers can also access the LG Electronics’ Residential ESS Installation Program, which provides best practices training and is approved for continuing education credit by The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners® (NABCEP®).

Whether a commercial installer looking for a backup power solution or a residential installer looking to branch out into the category, LG suggests attendees to RE+ 2023 stop by its booth.

In addition to enrolling in the LG PRO Program, booth visitors can get an up-close view of the residential ESS Home 8 and commercial LG ESS products, considered among the fastest-growing energy storage systems in the industry.

Team members will be on hand to demonstrate the LG ThinQ® app that enables homeowners to remotely monitor and manage the Home 8 system for energy independence and grid resilience, and the installer-focused LG EnerVU® platform that offers real-time system status, reporting and ESS fleet information so installers can provide informed, prompt customer service.
