The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), owners of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), is set to welcome 40 members of the Interior Design Society (IDS) to the event in Orlando this Feb. 8-10.
KBIS explains that two curated tours, led by California designer, Wendy Glaister will connect IDS members with brands, programs and networking during the annual event, which focuses on the kitchen and bath industry.
The Interior Design Society Supports Design Professionals
The Interior Design Society is an independent national organization comprising more than 2,000 members. Dedicated to serving the residential design industry, IDS was founded in 1973 by the National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) to support interior designers based within furniture stores. Since its founding, the IDS has expanded its focus to support professional interior design entrepreneurs nationwide.
The NKBA says it is excited to welcome these design professionals – many of whom are new to the show – as a step towards developing larger collaborations and partnerships in the future.
“I was so pleased when the IDS membership reached out to explore the possibility of bringing a group of design pros to KBIS,” states Suzie Williford, EVP, and chief strategy officer, NKBA.

Curated Tours, Brands Announced
The NKBA and IDS have developed two curated tours for IDS members, hosted by Wendy Glaister. The tours will include stops at various exhibitor locations as well as the KBIS Next Stage and other programming locations.
