Listen in at 2 p.m. EST on March 4 as Patick Laidlaw, director of business development at AiSPIRE hosts Tom Doherty, Founder of Lightapalooza; Eric Joy of GHT; Rich Conklin of ResCom.

Anyone interested in participating in the webinar can register here, and during the Integrator Insight Webinar WAC Lighting will discuss:

• The history behind Lightapalooza and why it’s important for the CI channel
• Why you should continue to go year after year
• Tips from industry veterans on how to get the most out of attending
• Hot trends from this year’s event
• The future of Lightapalooza

Doherty’s 40-year career in the Consumer Electronics Industry has spanned everything from 8-tracks to apps. Beginning in retail sales, he founded Tom Doherty’s Custom Audio and Video in 1985, he co-founded the CEDIA trade association in 1989 and later helped launch Escient in 1996. After a brief hiatus, Doherty returned to the industry in 2003 with Doherty Design Group (DDG). He joined HTSA in 2017 and continued to innovate by introducing high-performance architectural lighting to its members.

WAC Lighting points out that Lightapalooza was Doherty’s brainchild launched by HTSA in 2022, has since become the industry’s most important lighting conference for the CI channel.
Eric Joy is the vice president of GHT Group, a nationally recognized technology integration firm with offices in Atlanta, Birmingham, Ala., and Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. He currently serves as a board member and is the past president of HTSA (Home Technology Specialists of America). With extensive experience on both the integration and manufacturing sides of the industry, WAC Lighting points out that Joy has been a Lightapalooza attendee since its inception and remains a strong advocate for the show and the lighting category.

Rich Conklin launched his first company, Rich Sound, in 1979 when it was disco lights and bowling alley speakers. WAC Lighting asserts that Conklin was one of the first integrators to see the future in home technology, and 45 years later, the lighting manufacturer boasts that he remains a leader in bringing innovation to the home. In 2013, he joined ResCom Electric (Grand Rapids, Michigan).
