Hisense, a global manufacturer of electronics and appliances, has announced the retirement of Rick Calacci, vice president of product marketing for the Americas Region, after a distinguished career spanning four decades.
The popular consumer electronics company points out that Rick Calacci’s retirement marks the conclusion of a journey characterized by dedication, exceptional leadership, and numerous contributions to the industry.
During his time at Hisense which began in 2021 as head of product marketing at Hisense USA, Calacci played a key role in advancing the brand’s success and expansion in the region the company emphasizes. According to Hisense, Calacci’s forward-thinking vision and creative strategies positively influenced the company’s product marketing, resulting in the successful introduction of innovative technologies and high-quality products for consumers in North and South Americas.
Prior to joining Hisense, Rick Calacci held key positions in the consumer electronics industry, including as senior vice president of sales & marketing at LG Electronics for 13 years where he played an instrumental role in the introduction of OLED TVs to the U.S. market. Calacci has also held senior roles at Sharp Electronics and was vice president for sales & marketing at Toshiba America for 18 years as well as serving on the board of directors for the Consumer Technology Association.
