Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 is a global stage where manufacturers, distributors, and integrators converge to unveil cutting-edge technologies and solutions in the audiovisual industry. This year, Home Theaterology, a collaborative effort led by AcousticSmart founder Richard Charschan that features insights from other home theater experts, will be available for purchase at several book signing events during the show.

The book aims to inspire technology integrators, interior designers, and architects to incorporate captivating home theater experiences into their projects.

“We created Home Theaterology to reignite the passion for home theater by showing everyone how amazing these rooms can be in terms of both performance and design,” says Charschan. ”This is really a movement to elevate the home theater experience and educate the custom integration, design, and architecture communities on the immense potential of home theaters. We’re excited to share this message at ISE.”

On February 4 and 5, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Charschan will be hosting a book signing at a special collaborative demonstration of the “Ultimate Home Cinema Experience” in Adeo Screen/Screen Research stand 2J300. Another book signing will be held at CEDIA stand 2F500 on Thursday, February 6, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Home Theaterology also has a stand in the Discovery Zone—8C648—for general information about the book and book signings.

Charshan and the AcousticSmart team point out that attendees have the opportunity to preorder advance copies of Home Theaterology and collect them in person at one of the book signings, which is a great way to save on shipping costs for those residing outside the United States.

Debuted at CEDIA 2024, the book is cosponsored by prominent brands, such as Kaleidescape, Barco Residential, Screen Research, CEDIA, CEDIA Expo, Storm Audio, Meridian, JBL Synthesis, D-Tools, TPI, 360 Power Quality, and MadVR, among others. Barry Sonnenfeld, an acclaimed director and cinematographer, wrote a foreword, emphasizing the critical role of home theaters in delivering an unparalleled cinematic experience. Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, also wrote a foreword in which he chronicles his journey to recreate and elevate the cinematic experience at home. With insights from experts like Joel Silver on video calibration and Tony Grimani on acoustics, Home Theaterology provides valuable knowledge to inspire designers and architects to embrace the resurgent trend of home theaters.

With inspiration from Theo Kalomirakis’ classic book Great Escapes and contributions from the home theater pioneer, Home Theaterology is designed to educate and inspire the design community to embrace this luxury as the centerpiece of the home.
