Sony Pro Introduces BVM-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor

At the NAB 2023 show Sony Electronics announced its BVH-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor, which it says complements its popular BVM-HX310 display.

Supporting the broadcast and post production markets, Sony Electronics has announced its new BVM-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor.

Products like this newly announced BVM-HX3110 4K HDR display provide the template for which professional calibrators base their video system calibrations that include televisions, projection systems and large-format display systems.

“Content creators are always seeking tools that help to accurately match and represent their creative vision and the BVM-HX3110 does just that,” says Ellen Heine, marketing manager, Sony Electronics.

“We continue to act on customers’ feedback, which is why this new model offers a host of new features including an IP interface for enhanced flexibility. And of course, in keeping with Sony’s monitor design philosophy, it color matches with our most popular professional monitors.” 

Sony BVM-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor Sets a new Standard

The global electronics company, which serves the commercial and residential markets states the new professional monitor can be used for crtical evaluation, color grading, live production and post production. The 30.5-inch, 4K HDR monitor features a Sony-designed, dual-layer anti-reflection LCD panel that utilizes proprietary Sony signal processing. Sony emphasizes the BVM-HX3110 also provides peak luminance capabilities as high as 4000 cd/m2, while maintaining deep black levels.

According to the company, its latest monitor provides accurate color reproduction, image consistency, and image quality.

The BVM-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor also offers options such as a fast pixel response mode that reduces motion blur, along with a wider viewing angle, and standard an IP interface for SMPTE ST2110 signals. Sony notes the monitor complements its Networked Live ecosystem, and it can be used with its BVM-HX310.

Other features the BVM-HX3110 4K HDR Monitor provides include a standard toolset with Waveform Monitor/Vector Scope (WF/VS); false color, focus assist, closed captioning, 3D LUT processing, and quad, side-by-side viewing modes. Additionally, the monitor offers support for JPEG-XS, as well as Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) through optional licenses, and license options to enable tools such as HDR/SDR conversion, and a user 3D LUT signal-output.
