Samsung has been on a role in terms of gaining market share in the custom electronics industry for the past several years, and the company is aiming to keep the momentum going with an array of new products at CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas.
“I’m excited about CEDIA Expo,” says Jim Mayo, executive director of sales, custom installation at Samsung. “I’m more excited than ever now that we’re that back there in person for real. It’s great for Samsung. We’ve put a lot a lot of effort into creating new opportunity for the CI dealers. When they walk in, they are going to see a waterfall display that shows what we’re doing in the outdoor market.”
He adds, “We’re talking about breadth of assortment, breadth of opportunity for the CI dealer to sell customizable products. We are in the outdoor world, and we have The Frame with its new matte finish that takes it to a completely different level. Our biggest worry is that customers keep trying to touch the screen now, because it looks almost 3D. We are going to have a little sign in the booth, that is kind of a joke, advising people not to touch the TV when we are showing a Monet painting, just like a sign in an art gallery or a museum. “
Mayo says Samsung is proud of the fact that the company manufactures its new Samsung S95B 4K OLED panel completely in both 55- and 65-inch versions. He adds the OLED is ideal for darker room settings, noting it is a good companion to the company’s super-bright Neo QLED displays, such as the new Samsung 98-inch QN100B TV. This impressive 98-inch Neo QLED 4K TV offers immersive black detail, 120W Dolby Atmos sound system and brilliant 5,000 nits peak brightness to provide HDR10+ specular levels. The QN100B features exclusively designed Slim Fit Wall Mount, Connected Stand, and special back mount holder for the One Connect Box. The QN100B is one of Samsung’s thinnest TVs ever and is encased in a 360-degree full-metal design. This is Samsung’s first 4K TV capable of playing four sources of 4K simultaneously via the Multi-View feature.
Samsung will also be showcasing its new Microsite Builder that lets dealers create detailed and trackable assets and graphics for their websites, including for Samsung’s line of Neo QLED 8K TVs, the top-selling Frame TV, and The Terrace outdoor TV. The Microsite Builder also provides insights, tracking and encourages sales for integrators. This drag-and-drop solution enables integrators to create a seamless end-user experience on their websites.
Other Samsung products and topics that dealers can see and discuss in the booth with Mayo and his team are ultra-short-throw projection., microLED walls, and the Samsung Platinum dealer program.
