Today’s homeowners love their A/V technology, but they don’t necessarily want it dominating their walls and floors. Nexus 21 has made its name over the years assisting in the effort to conceal video displays in particular, and again will use CEDIA Expo to show integrators ways they can hide technology.
In its booth (#3843) at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Nexus 21 will have an assortment of motorized lifts and mounts that make good use of the ceiling to conceal the projectors and flat panels when customers want them out of sight.
“We’ve got a couple of first looks for our integrators as well as some brand new introductions to the line,” says Mark Nickles, VP of business development for Nexus 21. “We’ll be bringing back some familiar displays like our pop-up television lifts, our projector drop-downs will be there.
“We’re going to be showcasing some of the most requested products that we get, and actually some new ones when it comes to ceilings.”
Creating Good Viewing Experiences from Anywhere
In terms of some of the new wares, Nexus 21 booth visitors can set their sights upward to see solutions like the L-75ix, a fully motorized, drop-down and swivel TV lift; and a prototype of the CL-65e, which is not only a flip-down TV concealment system but a flip-down, drop-down to provide extra extension for better viewing.

Of course, sometimes integrators just want to improve upon the positioning of a TV that’s on a wall and not out of sight. Nexus 21 has a final version of the Apex motorized, articulating wall mount that it showed last year, plus engineers and designers took cues from its development for the company’s Transcend mount that’s specifically geared toward those pesky above-fireplace-mantel TV installs.
On top of all the products, integrators will be excited to hear (and learn more about at the Expo) that Nexus 21 has addressed another common concern for their installations, Nickles notes.
“We’re actually going to be introducing IP control for our entire product lineup,” he says. “Again, something that’s been very highly requested and we’re really, really pleased to offer that to our customers.”
