Bringing a cinematic approach to ISE 2020, the Alcons Audio immersive audio demonstration will utilize equipment from Sony, StormAudio, ShowTex and DreamScreen.

Exhibiting in booth 6-K160, the Alcons Audio immersive audio demo will utilize the company’s pro-ribbon sound systems that are capable of delivering high levels of sound quality and high sound pressure levels (SPLs).
The all-digital Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience will feature Alcons’ CRMS mkII Cinema Reference Monitor System speakers in the LCR positions, and six CRMSC-LFE18 screen subwoofers. Eight CRMSC-SRHV90 speakers and another eight wide-dispersion CRMSC-SRHV120 horizontal/vertical reference surround units will be employed to reproduce base and height-level surround sound.
Immersive Audio Demo Features 28 Channels
Driving and controlling the Alcons Audio immersive audio demo will be 28 channels of Alcons’ Sentinel3 and Sentinel10 amplified loudspeaker controllers.
Handling the processing and room calibration will be the StormAudio ISP.32 Digital AES MK2.
The unit incorporates 32 AES outputs that are capable of decoding immersive audio formats up to 13.1.10, and it supports DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, HDMI eARC and the new Dirac Live Bass Control module.
Helping to ensure the immersive listening experience delivers on the promise of the respective audio formats, Alcons Audio emphasizes its booth incorporates acoustically optimized construction using ShowTex acoustic baffles to support the system’s design.
Looking at the video portion of Alcons Audio demonstration, the system will include a Sony projector and a DreamScreen projection screen.
The company will be showing its CRMS-SRHV/9090 compact horizontal/vertical reference immersive surround that features Alcons’ 90×90 waveguide, as well as its QB242 modular low-frequency array columns, which just made their market debut at NAMM 2020.
